Tim Plowden Wins Best Environmental Film at High Tatras Film & Video Festival

by Tim Plowden, 26 September 2021

Tim Plowden, of Tim Plowden Photography, has won a prestigious Honourable Mention from the High Tatras Film & Video Festival. The Best Environmental Film award was given for Tim Plowden’s exciting nature documentary, The Circle of Life, which provides fresh insights into bird nest predation by Oriental Pied Hornbills in urban Singapore. The Circle of Life features exceptional narration (Ian Russell), story line, and visuals.

I’m delighted to receive the Honourable Mention in the Best Environmental Film category for my independent production. With this production I attempted to apply everything I’ve learned so far about film making, interpreting behaviour and communicating wildlife conservation subjects. It was wonderful to work with long-time collaborators, Reehana Shihab and Ian Russell, again.

High Tatras Film & Music Video Festival is celebration of nature. It is not only a mountain festival, but also a festival that combines film, music and visual arts. The festival is awarded every 2 months and is evaluated by a jury as part of a private screening.
